Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a Java Microservices Lead to provide leadership to an engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Digital Technology systems and software applications. This is a hands-on leadership role — the ideal candidate is able to pass a technical interview and continues to write modern code themselves, not just manage from the sidelines.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Provide leadership to a team of engineers working toward common goals.
Assist and guide junior staff as necessary while working independently and as part of a team.
Stay hands-on as a leader, able to pass a technical interview and write modern code.
Apply strong methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes within your area of responsibility.
Application Development
Design, develop, and implement computer systems and software applications.
Create technical design specifications for new and existing systems.
Communicate and implement technical solutions across teams.
Build and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot, Kafka, and GraphQL.
Support cloud deployment and orchestration using Kubernetes and AWS.
